Blog review: Canada Visa Philippines

I stumbled upon Shen's Blog last week while I was blog hopping to drop my Entrecard. It got me interested because Shen is offering a free blog review for his Entrecard advertisers. Thinking that an objective review of my blog will help me identify which areas I need to improve on, I decided to submit my Canada Visa Philippines blog and requested for a review.

This morning I got a message from Shen informing me that the review of my blog was already up on his blog.

He gave my blog an overall rating of 8.6 based on my blog layout, content, coherence, reach and readability. Here's an excerpt form Shen's review of my blog-

Although I am not someone who encourages Filipinos to go and look for job abroad nor I am saying that working abroad is the ultimate solution to ones problem for... it is not. This blog by its layout makes it easy for the readers and site visitors to find what they are looking for. The color-scheme as well as branding of the site is really ideal for its purpose.Read Full Review

I'm happy with the review that my blog got. I think it's reasonably fair and objective.

And I also agree that working abroad is not the ultimate solution to one's [financial] problem. However, there's a huge difference between working abroad as a contract worker and as immigrant. Being a contract worker is just a temporary solution. Without proper planning, you may be trapped in a never ending vicious cycle of life of an overseas contract worker - after several years of working abroad with just a little savings and without retirement plan, you may end up dependent on your sons and daughters who, forced by circumstances, are also working as an overseas contract wokers.

Working abroad as an immigrant is relatively better because of the benefits that you may get from your host country. With immigrant visa application, you don't even need to be separated with your family just to earn in dollars. You can bring them with you. An option that is not normally available for overseas contract workers.

  2. Dear Apple,

I have already filed Immgrant Visa Application. When I checked it, the processing was started April 29, 2006. I am Social Worker and licensed teacher with more than 7 years direct experience in social work profession. Is it possible to convert/ or to update my application from Immigrant visa application to Federal Nominee Program? because as of now, my profession is now included to the New In-demand Occupation. What should I do for this? could you help me to expedite the processing?
