The Republicans' presumptive candidate for president, John McCain, today called into question the appropriateness of going ahead with the party's national convention in the light of the threat posed by hurricane Gustav.
McCain is due to officially receive the nomination at the convention, scheduled to begin in Minneapolis tomorrow. But he said that going ahead with a big party while residents in New Orleans and elsewhere on the Gulf Coast suffered would be insensitive.[Source]
Not that I'm happy that there's a hurricane that might cause damage to lives and properties, I can't help but wonder what that Republican supporter will pray for next?
