Official campaign period begins | My Ballot

Today is the start of the 2nd phase of campaign period for the Philippines 2010 Elections. The COMELEC calls it official campaign period but who are they kidding? In the Philippines, campaign period starts right after politicians are elected. Well, at least most of them.

So far, here's my list of who to vote for from President to Partylist Representative

Mt. Gulugod Baboy Revisited

Mt. Gulugod Baboy is one of the mountaineering destinations that I really like. That's why when fellow ASMSI Mountaineers scheduled a climb to Gulugod Baboy last weekend, I made sure that I'll be able to join. And I'm glad I did!



The first time I climbed Gulugod Baboy, we took the easy trail via Brgy Gasang in Mabini Batangas. It was literally just like a walk in the park. But this time, the jump off site was at Philpan Diving Resort in Anilao, Mabini Batangas. A bit challenging than the Brgy Gasang route but still a relatively easy climb.



We arrived at the jump off site Friday night around 10pm and before 12 midnight we were already at the camp site.



We're supposed to have a side trip to Sombrero Island the following day to enjoy swimming, but we ended up going to Maricaban in Tingloy, Batangas. White sand beach at Maricaban is way better than that of Sombrero Isaland!

Palm Treo 680 SMS Truncated

After installing Mundu IM and 2TwitMe, my Palm Treo 680 started to encounter problem - truncated SMS.

I don't have this problem prior to installation so I suspected that is has something to do with the new apps. I made a soft reset hoping it will solve the problem but without luck.

I was about to do a hard reset when I thought of searching for other solution.

Luckily, I found one. The power of Google. :-)

Here's how to solve your SMS Truncated problem:

1. Download Filez if you don't already have it, and run it. Download the file here. You can download it direct to your Treo.

2. Go to "View Preferences" (If you're in "View and edit files" mode, press "close" to go back to the main screen).

3. Choose 'Saved' on the selection on the right side.

4. Find PIL! key and delete it.

5. Done, it doesn't even need a reset.

It indeed solved my Palm Treo 680 SMS truncated problem!
